Wouldn’t it be nice to allow your business users to create their own interactive analytic reports? How about taking this even further and allowing your customers to create them too? ​Power View is the tool that will help this become a reality. The newest addition to the SSRS is an add-on that allows your users to explore semantic models from an SSAS Tabular instance or any PowerPivot data source. We will deep dive into the features that are surfaces and how this will integrate into key scenarios within your organization. We will also explore the newest key feature within the standard reporting services reports that allows end users to have SQL Server watch for data thresholds to be broken, which will then send out an alert for them to be notified of this event.

Data governance is quickly becoming a wave of technology that the IT team cannot ignore. ​At the root of this is master data management (MDM) and Microsoft has released its second version of Master Data Services (MDS) within SQL Server 2012. Wouldn’t it be nice to know what the correct address is for each of your customers? How about knowing the correct product codes for each of your thousands of SKU’s? Understanding how Windows Azure roles can communicate with each other is a key aspect to developing enterprise caliber applications on the Windows Azure platform. A Windows Azure role communicates with the outside world via input endpoints, and with other roles via internal endpoints. In this webcast, we will take a look at Windows Azure role communication from a developer's point of view. We'll see how configure input endpoints for exposing a service to the outside world, as well as using internal endpoints for role-to-role communication.

There are three core tenants of Windows Azure storage - queues, tables, and blobs. One of the great features of Windows Azure is that we can consume the storage services from a platform that communicates via a REST interface. Libraries are available which make working with the native REST interface a more natural experience, but all features are not available in many libraries. In this webcast we will take a look Windows Azure storage from a developer's point of view. We'll look at using the native REST interface, as well as the .NET storage client library, for working with Windows Azure storage.
