| SQL Server Series: Power View Ad hoc Reporting and Report Alerts |
Presented by Scott Berkley, SQL/Business Intelligence Practice Director, Neudesic-Denver
Wouldn’t it be nice to allow your business users to create their own interactive analytic reports? How about taking this even further and allowing your customers to create them too? Power View is the tool that will help this become a reality. The newest addition to the SSRS is an add-on that allows your users to explore semantic models from an SSAS Tabular instance or any PowerPivot data source. We will deep dive into the features that are surfaces and how this will integrate into key scenarios within your organization. We will also explore the newest key feature within the standard reporting services reports that allows end users to have SQL Server watch for data thresholds to be broken, which will then send out an alert for them to be notified of this event.

| Integration Evolved: Enabling Hybrid Composition On-Premise and Beyond |
Presented by Rick G. Garibay, Connected Systems General Manager
A growing business must meet its needs and challenges with new and existing systems and platforms if it hopes to remain relevant in the marketplace. Before long, however, the value of the whole enterprise begins to fall below the sum of its various parts. Whether these disparate systems reside on-premise, in the cloud or on partner networks, they must be well-integrated before a business can extend its investment in technology and drive future innovation. Once achieved, the composition of these systems unlocks an organization’s true potential by supporting the consumption of application programming interfaces across any user experience, regardless of platform. Only then can an organization differentiate itself and deliver value at the speed of business. |

| Azure: Windows Azure Building Block Services |
Presented by Michael Collier, National Windows Azure Architect
Learn about the next generation building block services available in Windows
Azure that help to create connected, secure, and reliable services. With
services such as Caching, Service Bus (relay, queues, and topics), and Access
Control Services (ACS) developers can focus more on building great solutions and
less on plumbing services necessary to do so. In this webcast, we will take a
look at many of the additional services offered as part of Windows Azure. We'll
see just how easy it can be to add scalable caching with Windows Azure Caching,
create robust connected solutions with the Service Bus, and secure applications
with ACS. |

| Azure: Windows Azure Service Management |
Presented by Michael Collier, National Windows Azure Architect
With the Windows Azure Service Management API we can control nearly all
aspects of a Windows Azure service. This allows us to easily manage areas such
as deployments, service upgrades, and subscription management. Additionally,
with the PowerShell cmdlets we gain even greater power over the management of a
Windows Azure service. In this webcast, we will take a look at managing a
Windows Azure service from a developer's point of view. We'll look at using
both the Windows Azure Service Management API and PowerShell cmdlets to exercise
control over our Windows Azure services.
