Security is not a feature; it is built into the DNA of Neudesic Pulse.
User Access
User accounts in Neudesic Pulse are created via syncs to your company’s Active Directory or other supported authentication provider. No one can log on to Neudesic Pulse unless they are a known user of the enterprise. Additionally, if a user’s Active Directory has been disabled or deleted, they are no longer granted access to Neudesic Pulse.
System Feeds
Your business systems have valuable information. Why limit your enterprise applications to a select few when everyone can benefit from seeing what’s inside them? Wouldn’t your salespeople be better off if they knew when an account turned past due? Wouldn’t your customer service people be better prepared if they knew a particular item was out of stock?
Neudesic Pulse broadcasts important events to your employees as they occur instead of waiting until someone “runs the report”.
Neudesic Pulse can connect to any type of application via RSS feeds and even direct access with our REST API. Once configured, people subscribe to these System Feeds just like they’d subscribe to a human user. Users can Comment, Like and even Follow these systems to add context and greater understanding to the feed as opposed to just raw data.
User Profiles
You’re unique and have personality. User profiles are a good way to share information about yourself and put a face to the name. Other can see what your expertise is, what Badges you’ve earned, and who you report to…you can even call them…you can even call them with our Microsoft Linc presence integration…
Data Security
Whether hosted by Neudesic or at your data center, all content is secure in the Neudesic Pulse data store. Neudesic Pulse’s technology infrastructure has been audited for both HIPAA and PCI Data Security Standard Compliance. As a result, you can rest assured that your data will be stored as securely as with all of your other mission-critical applications.
Records Retention
Depending on the type of industry you are in, records retention could be an important consideration. Tightly regulated fields like Aerospace and Health Care need to produce information and documents for e-discovery at a moment’s notice. Other industries are more worried about being able to delete data to prevent server overload.
Since all of the content in Neudesic Pulse is stored in SQL Server, Neudesic Pulse can accommodate virtually any scenario you might need. Your company’s DBA can create situation-specific jobs to delete or archive any aspect of Neudesic Pulse’s data stores. It doesn’t matter if you want to get rid of all your messages every week or archive them indefinitely - the choice and the power are all yours.
Active Directory Synchronization
Neudesic Pulse starts with the “official” information from your company’s Active Directory. Name, cell phone, email address, title and so on. People can then personalize a profile with their pictures and configure how Neudesic Pulse reaches out to them.
Digital Reputation
As people answer questions in Pulse (Pulse IQ), their peers get to vote on the quality of the answers. Over time, the real experts in your company get identified and acknowledged. These acknowledgements become part of the user profile and help build your digital reputation. You’re an expert! And now you can prove it!
Badges
As people contribute to Neudesic Pulse their participation is recognized with Badges. These badges highlight positive contributors and attaches awards to their profile.

Social Tagging
How do you organize and access the vast amount of information that is created by the people and the various systems in your company? Tagging is an easy way for the Neudesic Pulse user community to put labels (tags) on any piece of content inside of Neudesic Pulse allowing for easy and effective grouping and retrieval of related content.
For instance, let’s say you want to track all your “Strategic Accounts”. The Strategic Account tag is applied to the people (customer support, sales, etc), system feeds (activities, support issues), and questions that are related to these important accounts.
Neudesic Pulse aggregates and organizes all of this information into an easy to read, interactive stream that you can revisit anytime, from anywhere.
