Phishing Scams Phishing Scams: Fraudulent Career Recruitment and Fictitious Job Postings Neudesic has become aware of incidents where criminals are using corporate brands to send fraudulent recruiter messages, post fictitious job opportunities, and/or make fraudulent job offers. In some cases, criminals posing as recruiters or corporate employees may ask for money, banking details, or other personally identifiable information. This phishing scam, known as ‘recruitment fraud,’ is becoming increasingly common and more sophisticated. Neudesic takes this matter extremely seriously and actively works to eliminate any known instances of our brand being used as part of criminal activity. At no point would Neudesic ever ask for money, credit card, or bank account information to complete a job application, and caution should always be taken when sharing any personal information. Tips to Protect Against Recruitment Fraud Be cautious of generic emails — Scammers try to cast a wide net by including little or no specific information. Always be wary of emails that seem overly generic. Look for incorrect domain names or email addresses — Check for misspellings of Neudesic or non-Neudesic email addresses (i.e., gmail.com, yahoo.com). Neudesic-approved emails that come directly from Neudesic will always come from neudesic.com. Don’t engage with any request for financial information or payments — Neudesic will never ask prospective employees for payment to apply for a position or as a condition of employment. Don’t provide personal information via email or phone — Neudesic recruiters will never ask you to provide personal information via email or phone, such as address or date of birth. All required personal information will be collected in Neudesic’s approved and secure job application portals. Be suspicious of the “perfect” job — A job posting that seems too good to be true, such as a position advertised as having extremely high compensation but requiring no skills or experience, is likely to be fraudulent.
