The Challenge

The Company’s SharePoint Online strategy was one part of its Cloud/BPOS-D solution that included Exchange/Outlook, OCS, and Live Meeting. The Company purchased several thousand SharePoint Online licenses as part of its BPOS-D deal with Microsoft, but the Company had limited SharePoint expertise. They needed a SharePoint-based solution to replace existing solutions by Vignette/OpenText and Lotus Notes/Domino.

 

 

The Solution

Neudesic provided the Company a governance model to implement SharePoint Online, including a “My Workspace” portal that ties together existing online applications across the enterprise, making it easier for teams to collaborate. Neudesic designed new applications to replace and enhance current Lotus Notes-based systems, giving the Company’s legal and human resources groups more operational capabilities.

The Benefit

Neudesic’s solution leveraged the Company’s investment in SharePoint and saved costs associated with OpenText and Lotus Notes. Neudesic designed custom applications to improve the tracking of performance goals and manage sales and marketing initiatives. Company management will also have the tools to improve employee onboarding and productivity. The solution will help drive adoption of collaborative team platforms for both corporate and hotel initiatives by providing a standardized education process.
